This tea does not have a strong aroma either in the can or in the cup. Not very malty in flavor, and just ever so slightly astringent. It brews up nice and clear with a very clean taste. Its a nice cup in the morning, but does not have the kick of an Assam tea.

This review is kinda surprising, especially given how this tea is described. I would expect a tea like this to be robust in aroma. Most Scottish Breakfast blends I've had are also a bit smoky, and they tend to also pack a punch.

Yeah, I was surprised as well. It reminded me more of Yunan tea that I've tried rather than the Indian varieties.
Or maybe I have covid and lost my sense of smell! :-)
