↑About Texas Yaupon Tea
Texas Yaupon Tea or Yaupon TwoCreeks Mercantile was a company based in Wimberly, Texas, that produced and sold Yaupon grown in Texas. Yaupon is a caffeinated holly related to Yerba Mate, and the only caffeinated beverage native to North America.
Texas Yaupon Tea was available at the Bastrop Producers Market in Bastrop, Texas, the first Saturday Wimberley Market, and through Chix in Washington, DC. The company also provided its products wholesale to retail establishments.
The plants used to grow Texas Yaupon Tea are grown without pesticides, fertilizers, or irrigation.
Texas Yaupon Tea has mostly closed commercially, now only sporadically producing a small amount of Yaupon that is sold locally, but Wimberly Tea Company is producing a larger volume from the same area.

I have been drinking this tea for the last 6 months. It has become my favorite caffeinated beverage. Now that it is summer in Texas, I have been drinking Texas Yaupon Tea iced, too.
