Earl Greys Lady Violet Loose-leaf Tea

Loose-leaf tea with brown to gray-green leaf, and blue flowers mixed in, in a brass-colored scoopView Full Resolution

This photo shows a loose-leaf flavored tea blend, using a Darjeeling tea as a base, scented with oil of bergamot, and with cornflowers mixed in. This is a somewhat atypical example of an Earl Grey blend; these blends usually use a strong, darker black tea as base, typically a Ceylon.

Darjeeling is noticeably lighter in color and flavor, and has a more floral scent; its leaves are also lighter and less oxidized, reflected in the greener color of the leaf in this photo.
