Lipton Finest Earl Grey Loose-Leaf Tea in Original Tin

Loose-leaf fine-textured black tea with yellow strands, in an octagonal metal tin

This loose-leaf Earl grey tea is pictured in the original tin, from Lipton, the "Finest Earl Grey". The orange strands mixed in the tea, presumably citrus peel, are not typical for Earl Grey; usually this blend consists only of black tea leaves and the flavoring is done only by adding extracted oil from the bergamot orange, not by adding any whole ingredients.

Sometimes though companies add citrus peel or flowers, which usually impart little additional flavoring, to visually signify the fact that the blend is a flavored tea, not a pure tea.
