Dried and Crushed Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) Leaves

Finely broken dried leaf pieces and dust, bold green in color with a slight yellowish hueView Full Resolution

This photo shows dried and crushed lemon myrtle leaf. The leaf pieces are quite small, and there is a lot of fine dust in the mix. This is typical of the lemon myrtle sold for use as herbal tea and/or used in blending. The fine particulate matter can make the herb infuse quickly, sometimes becoming rapidly astrigent.
