This is a one-of-a-kind store that I never expected to find! It's a toy and game store, with quite a good selection of the sort of brainy, Euro-style board and card games that I love (stuff with more sophisticated strategy than Settlers of Catan, think Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, Dominion, the sort to make it into the top ranks of Board Game Geek's rankings). But in the back, is a little tea shop and tea bar, and to my surprise, the stuff is top-quality.
The prices are quite high, but that's because the tea is top-notch. The people here brewed me up a sample of silver needle (Bai Hao Yinzhen), a style of tea that I normally am not a huge fan of, and it could have been the best example of it I ever tried, compared against the 13 or so others I've reviewed up until this point.
All the teas are available to be brewed up and served fresh, or sold by the ounce.
This place has only been in business for about 5 months, but I really hope it does well. It is rare to find a place that sells or serves tea of this quality anywhere in the U.S. If you're truly a tea connoisseur, or if you like board games, or both, I recommend stopping over and checking this place out!
