About West Sumatra, Indonesia

West Sumatra is a province of Indonesia, located along the west coast of the island of Sumatra. Although not one of the three biggest tea-growing regions, the region does produce some tea, and teas from this region are sporadically available through retailers. Liki Estate, run by the MitraKerinci RNI group, is located in this province, and produces white, green, and black tea, available locally under its own brand name, Liki, and occasionally sold by specialty retailers in the West.
