A very smooth blend, but bordering on bland. I can see this as being vaguely coffee-like only in the most remote sense: the flavor is very mellow and smooth, unlike coffee.

I notice rooibos and cocoa, and a little bit of spice...it suggests cinnamon even though I don't see that listed in the ingredient list. Lightly sweet, even adding no sweetener. I can't isolate much mate in the aroma. The overall effect of the blend is that it's muddled: no aromas come out particularly strongly.

I remain unimpressed by Teavana's mate offerings as I sample more of them. In my opinion the company excels more at fruit blends.

Overpriced, given the low cost of the ingredients and the fact that it has no special certification like organic or fair trade, and the tea doesn't highlight any of the particular ingredients strongly enough for me to notice whether or not they're truly high-quality.
