It's not totally clear from the packaging exactly what this is made of, but the description suggests that it's a blend of peppermint and spearmint, and I think this is probably true after trying it.

Aroma is more peppermint than spearmint, but unlike some mint blends, there is definitely a balance. There is less of the candy-like quality that I find makes me dislike some mint blends. There's also a hint of a creamy, vanilla-like quality, and more of an herbaceous quality.

I still prefer freshly grown stuff, but this is impressive relative to the low cost. I've never had better mint tea from a simple tea bag in this price range.
