I can definitely notice the thyme, linden, and fennel in the aroma. I don't know what mallow and elderflower smell like, so I can't identify them. The aroma is earthy and herbaceous, mostly dominated by the thyme.
Flavor is moderately bitter. This tea has a sort of slimy mouthfeel, for lack of a better descriptor...but it has some bite to it too.
I wouldn't say it was bad, but it's not the sort of blend I would drink strictly for taste. Better and tasted fresher than the other blends from this company, which tended to be very flat and bland.
