My rating is low because I tend not to like this style of tea. I actually think this tea was very good, more enjoyable than some loose-leaf Lapsang souchong that I've tried.
This is a classic Lapsang Souchong from a tea bag. It has a strong smoky aroma, and smooth, mellow flavor. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I found it neither too bitter nor too weak. I also found it was on the more smoky sides.
The only objectionable quality in this tea, a minor complaint, was a slight sourness that I could do without.
I've had much better smoked teas, but for a relatively inexpensive tea bag, this is really pretty good. It's true to the style, fairly middle-of-the-road in terms of strength and smokiness, and without major objectionable qualities. If you want a strongly smoked tea that is relatively widely available in tea bags, this would be a good option.
