It seems to have that strange aftertaste that you get with licorice or anise (or some artificial sweeteners), and it's a bit "grassy". BUT, the ginger and other ingredients make for a wonderfully-calming, stomach-soothing hot tea. When enjoyed with scones or ginger crisps, it's a very pleasant way to relax in the afternoon.
