Blood Oranges are one of my two favorite fruits, and I was looking forward to this rooibos. Unfortunately, I don't really notice the distinction between this and a regular orange-flavored rooibos; the blood orange may be more a reference to the deep, blood-like color of the rooibos than to the flavoring.
Brewed as instructed, for 10 minutes, the aroma is dominantly of orange, and the rooibos definitely takes a back burner, but the rooibos is still noticeable, and the aromas blend well. The orange aroma is mostly a candy-like orange quality, with hints of orange peel.
Flavor is very smooth. This is a medium-bodied tea with a light finish. I did not add milk, but I can imagine this tea taking milk very well, as it has a sort of creamy quality to it.
Relatively simple, but well-executed. Epi Tea seems to recommend unusually long steeping times, but in the case of this blend, I think they are spot-on with their recommendation of 10 minutes.
Although this blend struck me as high-quality, I found it priced prohibitively high, at over 50 cents a cup.
