This was a somewhat unusual and different-tasting chai. I don't think I like it quite as much as my favorite blends, or as the chai that I mix up myself, but it was still pretty good.

The aroma is strongly suggestive of nutmeg, which is odd because the ingredient list doesn't contain nutmeg. The base tea seems a little on the weak side, and doesn't have a strong presence. I recommend a longer steeping time; nourishtea recommends 4-5 minutes and I think that's good advice.

There's a hint of fruitiness that tastes just slightly artificial...I'm not quite sure what this comes from but it gave it a slight off quality.

Flavor is pretty typical for chai, moderate bitterness, some astringency.

Reasonable at the list price, but on sale for $5, I thought it was a steal for fair-trade, organic certified tea of this quality.
