McCormick tea never gets bitter like Lipton does, for instance, when you brew it strong so that you can add milk. So if you like strong tea with milk it is the best ever!!
I'm sooo sorry to hear that it was discontinued. I had a lot earlier because I couldn't get it in Colorado and now I'm out totally. It has always been my favorite every-day tea.

I unfortunately never got to try a really fresh, properly stored tea bag of this stuff so I may never know what it was intended to taste like.
But if you're looking for teas that are strong without getting too bitter, there are a lot of great options available to you, especially if you're willing to explore the world of loose-leaf tea. I bought a Finum brewing basket, permanent tea filter, and it's made it really easy for me to brew loose tea.
Some of my favorite everyday black teas are sold by Ahmad Tea; they're a little tricky to find in stores, but most middle-eastern food stores sell it, if you live near one. I buy their loose-leaf and they have several teas that are quite strong but can be steeped for a long time without getting overly bitter.
