I found this to be an above-average black tea in tea bags, but not good enough to justify the price. These sachets are very expensive, almost $10 for only 15. This places them in the same price range with Two Leaves and a Bud, which I prefer.

Aroma is not terribly complex: malty and robust, but not as strong relative to how bitter it was. Quite bitter and astringent. Struck me as slightly harsh. Mighty Leaf recommends a 3-5 minute steeping, but I thought this was too much. I'd recommend about too.

There's a possibility I simply tried a tea bag that wasn't very fresh--it was in a coffee shop, so I'm open to having my mind changed, but I wasn't very impressed with this one.

I've had much better luck with Mighty Leaf's green and white teas.
