This tastes a lot like a knock-off of Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime. I love the combination of spearmint and chamomile. It's very good...but I don't like the fact that it's so unoriginal.
The dominant aroma is of spearmint and chamomile...I don't notice either of the lemony herbs very much.
I think Twinings gets a high score from me on quality, but a low score on originality. Sleepytime came first, and this is a relative newcomer. Bigelow has a completely different take on a chamomile/mint blend, Sweet Dreams, which tastes very different from (and which I actually prefer to) Celestial Seasonings' sleepytime.
In business, I'm a big fan of companies differentiating themselves, creating something new, because I feel like when there are diverse products in the marketplace, it benefits everyone. I don't like when companies directly compete by offering nearly-identical products, especially when the newer of the two products doesn't seem to offer a substantial improvement. This tea is exactly this sort of product...it seems an imitation...a very good one, just about as good as the original, but not any better.
I'd avoid buying this for that reason. I don't like the idea of rewarding Twinings for copying another company's product, and I'd rather spend my money on the original. Twinings has quite a few original blends, and I'd rather spend my money on them, if I'm going to buy a blend from this company.
