This was a balanced tea that I found tasted much better once it had cooled to room temperature. I drank it hot, but I think it may actually make a much better iced tea than hot tea. If it weren't for the steep price tag, I'd recommend this one.

Flavor is very clean and crisp: there's a pleasant bitterness, and there is almost no astringency. Smooth but with a pleasant bite. In terms of the flavor and sensations on the palate, this is one of my favorite teas sampled recently.

The aroma is muddled. I was expecting this to be a little bit like Ahmad Tea's jasmine black tea, the only black jasmine tea I've sampled, and it was nothing at all like it. The citrusy qualities, orange and bergamot, completely dominate the jasmine, which only amounts to a subtle hint or tones in the aroma that briefly emerge and then vanish. The base tea is definitely on the mellower side, and it has a certain light, cooling quality to it that was very different from Ahmad's jasmine black tea.

The aroma seemed almost fake. Oddly, when the tea had cooled to room temperature, it seemed much more aromatic and the aroma much more complex.

I steeped this tea for 4 minutes as recommended, and this resulted in a pleasant brew that was on the mild side. Steeping longer might be a good idea for people who prefer a strong cup.

Like all of Mighty Leaf's teas, I think this one is high-quality but quite overpriced. The amount of leaf in the sachet isn't particularly generous too--it really is only suitable for a standard 8 ounce cup, and there wasn't enough flavor left after one steeping to resteep it. I will say, this tea is also offered in loose-leaf, and Mighty Leaf's prices are MUCH better on loose-leaf. I'd probably give it a 4/5 on value for the loose stuff, which I assume tastes as good or better.
