Served in Velvet Sky, Jenkintown.
This blend smells very chocolatey, but upon sipping it the dominant aroma is cinnamon. I wasn't crazy about the Spiced Chai Mate from Octavia for the same reason: too much cinnamon, and I feel the same way about this blend: it would otherwise be very good, but has too much cinnamon. In spite of the cinnamon though, I like this blend more.
I found that drinking this tea was a pleasant experience: it's full-bodied and rich, with a strong warming quality yet a dry finish.
Among the least bitter of the teas that I've sampled from Octavia so far.
I prefer all of the pure teas from Octavia that I've tried to this one, but this is my favorite of their flavored black teas so far. Like all their teas, it is expensive and I think if I am going to spend this much money, I'd rather buy a pure tea like their Himalayan green, or order from any number of other, more affordable tea companies.
