This was an interesting and innovative blend that I found very well-executed. Very enjoyable to drink! One of the best herbal teas I've had from a tea bag in some time.
Ginger is the dominant quality in the aroma, but I find it's hard to fully distinguish the three ingredients from each other: ginger, galangal, and turmeric are all rhizomes, related to each other, and have vaguely similar flavor profiles, so I find they blend well. The aroma is quite earthy. The ginger is typical of dried ginger--different from fresh ginger--but very enjoyable.
Flavor is mild, but the sensations on the palate are rich and complex: the ginger creates a peppery quality, and it also has richness and depths. There is a significant sweetness...almost suggestive of brown sugar, upon drinking the whole cup.
Pukka recommends brewing for at least 5 minutes...I did about 10. It produced a pretty strong cup; I enjoyed it stronger like this. Even with such a long steeping, there seemed to be a little flavor left for a second cup, although I didn't make one.
I'd gladly drink this one again. The price is reasonable too for a tea bag of this quality. Thank you to E. Alexander Gerster for the sample!

This is one of those odd herbal teas that I really have come to enjoy. A friend gave a box to me when I had a scratchy throat a few months ago, and it not only helped with that, but had such a nice flavor that I found myself really enjoying it as a beverage. The tumeric seems to add some interesting complexity.
