A naturally sweet rooibos blend, with an aroma that blends seamlessly, but leaving an odd sourness in my mouth. Completely unlike any other flavored rooibos I've had.
Sweet and creamy, with tones of peppermint and vanilla, this is more reminiscent of a fruity, minty milk chocolate bar than the sort of dark chocolate that I normally consume (and associate with the more chocolatey black teas).
Aroma is strongly fruity, and it's hard to tell where the rooibos ends and the various flavorings begin. The peppermint stands out, but the apple, vanilla, and chocolate all tend to blend seamlessly into the rooibos base.
One thing I didn't like about this blend, however, was that it left an odd sour aftertaste in my mouth. It was also too sweet for my tastes, but other people who like sweeter teas may enjoy this one more. It was mainly the sourness, not the sweetness, which I found objectionable.
Interestingly, this is one of the least expensive of Octavia's blends, but it is also neither organic nor fair trade certified, and it is still a little pricier than I think I would want to pay for a blend of this quality. I would prefer any number of higher-priced, higher-quality teas sold by the company.
