The tea bag smells really wonderful, and very strongly, of ginger...much fresher smelling than most dried ginger.
Upon brewing, it's not quite as strong as I had hoped. I steeped for quite some time, about 8 minutes, in boiling water, and it produced a light liquor with only a moderate ginger bite to it--when I make my own ginger tea I usually like it a little stronger than this.
I think each bag contains a relatively small amount of the herb, less than the amount of tea in a typical tea bag. So while I give them a good score on quality and freshness, I was disappointed with the quantity.
Price is good...this stuff is pretty widely available for prices in the neighborhood of $3 a box. A good deal I think. I prefer buying my own ginger root and slicing it fresh, to make tea, but if I were going to go with a bagged ginger root, this would be a good option.
