I recall drinking a rose black tea from Czar Nicholas II a long time ago and really enjoying it, but I was disappointed with this tea. I don't know which blend I tried before;it may have been something different from this one.
While the black tea used actually seems to be fairly high-quality, it's overpowered by an artificial-seeming fruity flavor. I wonder what the tea without flavor would taste like--this one had just the right amount of bitterness and does not become too astringent if you steep it a long time. It's also pretty inexpensive (under $18/lb.) but I'll still pass on this one.
