I got this as a free sample with my last order from Adagio. I've been quite impressed so far. For an inexpensive tea, it has a great complexity of flavor. Overall it has a slight astringency, but not too much. Very typical assam flavor profile with perhaps a bit more of a bite. Not strong astringency, but just a more defined profile. It's hard to explain.

I was excited to see you had added and reviewed this tea (and thus learn that Adagio had begun selling it). I have only tried two teas from Rwanda, but one was truly exceptional, one of the best black teas I've ever sampled, and it was also quite inexpensive.
I'd be curious to try this one. I am also excited to see tea from Rwanda more widely available on the market...it's not every tea-producing country that is able to produce orthodox teas of good quality.

I'd recommend it! I've had it a couple times now and have grown to really enjoy it. It's only a couple of dollars for a sample!
