Up front, I'm not a big fan of spearmint, as it too often is used to dominate and dilute the peppermint in such blends. The former makes great gum, but rather lame teas that too often remind of cough medicine. Had I paid closer attention when buying a small pack of this tea in a Miami Publix, I would have left it on the shelf, despite its modest price point. Good thing, for once, that I did not deeply scrutinize the ingredients label!
Regardless of my anti-spearmint bias, I enjoyed this tea. Dare say it's the best I've had that contained any spearmint at all. The best word to describe it is, "friendly". While not as delicious as the most potent peppermint teas, it has a robust, sweet, somewhat creamy flavor and goes down smoothly and seamlessly -- a hot drink by which to relax on my hotel balcony, on an unusually cool night, overlooking a tranquil South Florida waterway.
