The tea tastes much like Murchie's Afternoon Tea (formerly Empress Afternoon), and also is a blend of black teas from various regions, but has a slightly weaker aroma--hence the slightly lower rating. Regardless, the flavor is similarly rich and full, the body robust, the color dense and dark after a 5-minute bath (with some stirring of the tea to kick more flavor out of the leaves, as usual).
I can see why Queen Liz (who has had some excellent teas in her long life) liked it. Buy this if their afternoon tea is out; you shall not be disappointed.
[Addendum: I'm ratcheting the rating up a bit. My wife loved this tea so much she mail-ordered a 50-bag box, and this batch was better than the first. Very rich, dark, and full-bodied...stronger aroma than the first batch. Dare I say it rivals the "Empress" Afternoon Tea!]
