This tea doesn't have much of a smell or a taste. It is rather like drinking plain hot water. It isn't bad, it isn't good. It pretty much just isn't anything.

I haven't tried this particular one, but I have tried other teas with turmeric and I often can't really taste it. I cook with turmeric a lot and I notice that its flavor comes out much better when I cook it in oil or other fatty foods.

Ginger too, I love in tea but I always go for the freshly sliced ginger root...dried ginger root seems to lose much of its flavor.

So it sort of makes sense that this would be on the bland side.
