I love this tea. It caught my eye because I'd never had Vietnamese tea before. It turned out to taste amazing. The price is quite decent, too.
I use half a teaspoonful of leaves per cup. It's a bit smokey, but not the way smoked teas are, a little sweet, a little spicy. The best word I can come up with to describe it is "smoldering". If you use the same leaves for a second cup, it will taste a bit like leather and licorice. This is currently my favourite tea.

Wow, you're lucky if this was your first exposure to Vietnamese teas! The first couple Vietnamese black teas I tried were more run-of-the-mill, but I got my hand on the same tea or a similar one (it was also called Nam Lanh) from a different company, and I definitely thought it was better.
In general, even though I tend to drink black tea more than green if left to my own devices, I have been more impressed with green and oolong teas produced in Vietnam, than black ones.
