This tea is made up of small pellets when dry. I suspected they would expand with water, which they did -- but not overwhelmingly so. The aroma is pretty subtle.
I brewed it at 205 F by pouring water over it and then allowing it to steep awhile. It never became bitter or unpleasant. It reminds me of a mixture of aspects of breakfast black teas and darjeelings. For a fairly simple morning tea, it has a nice caffeine zing without bitterness.
I got this tea for free from family, so the value quality is based off the online price -- which is relatively high.
