Straight vanilla black teas are a bit hard to come by. The majority of the time, the vanilla is blended with some other flavor and, when it isn't, it usually comes across tasting more like a cheap vanilla extract than true vanilla. Thankfully, this isn't the case for Solstice Tea's attempt.

The aroma isn't overwhelming, but is definitely vanilla. It actually reminds me of warm vanilla cake, though it is subtle. The flavor, however, is outstanding. To me, it tastes very similar to a particular brand of cream soda available locally, it's a very rich, creamy vanilla. It's far from the best tea I've ever had, and not even the best I've had from Solstice, but it's definitely found a regular spot in my kitchen.
