True story: I actually grabbed this somewhat absentmindedly off the shelf at Sprouts thinking it was True Blueberry (almost identical color scheme and basic design!), then only noticed the different name and cartoon when placing the box on the checkout belt. "Well, what the heck, I'm not a big fan of lavender as a taste for consumption, but it's just a couple bucks on sale, and (checking phone really quickly) RateTea doesn't have it yet, so...I'll give it a go." Hence, here you go!

Essentially, this is Sleepytime with some food-grade lavender tossed in. Oddly, the lavender element (which to me works much better as a smell than a flavor anyway) was the strongest, by far, in the dry-bag aroma. Indeed, it dominated the scent of the newly opened wax-paper container inside the outer box. Yet as hot tea running across the tongue and down the thoat, I only weakly detected it in a minority of sips, and not at all in most. I don't think covid altered my taste buds that much, as it never removed the sense of taste, and everything familiar since then has come across as it should. Still, I'll rate this variety just a tick higher than original Sleepytime, because the base flavor the two teas share is stronger to me than in the original. Perhaps that's why the lavender isn't that important, taste-wise. I do detect lavender again at the back of the aftertaste, and weakly in the wet-bag aroma.

Those wanting a more lavender-dominant experience may be disappointed. However, as a subtly edited variant of Sleepytime, it ain't too bad!
