I got this tea at an eatery in Bangkok, and also from my daughter who lives there, and brought a bag home to try on the same well water in which I've reviewed other teas here. I'm not convinced it was worth hauling back its couple grams of dry weight in the suitcase.

In every way, this tea struck me as essentially identical to the standard Lipton black tea, but with labeling on the already yellow label (of a slightly lighter shade than other Liptons) specifying that this, truly and indeed, make no mistake, has a "YELLOW LABEL". The dry aroma was fairly plain, not offputting, but bland and weak. The tea itself brewed up moderately dark, more bitter than anything, but not so bitter as to make one cringe. Perhaps the most pronounced flavor was in the aftertaste, where a bit of sourness arose, yielding a mild citrus-like twinge. But the main chugging experience is that of a very plain, understated black tea with no particular outstanding distinctions. Maybe a hint of cut wood...or is it cardboard? I've had worse. I've had far better.
