This is a very enjoyable green tea. Although this tea is steamed, it is much mellower than a typical sencha--less sharp. Less grassy than Ten Ren's dragon well. The tea brews a more golden color, less greenish. Less bitter and astringent than the majority of teabag teas on the market. Compared to Ten Ren's Dragonwell, this tea has a much simpler aroma, but is a bit more gentle. When I've bought Ten Ren's teabag teas in the past, I've tended to use this one up pretty quickly because I like it so much!
