Mandarin Ginger Green Tea is another product from this year's (2025) ribbon-wrapped holiday multipack, and may or may not return in the future. I hope it does. It's fairly good, especially at the price point of 12¢/bag. Note that this is not the same as Benner's Ginger Green Tea that is advertised on their website. This is not that, with the addition of orange probably reflecting its seasonal nature.

I think this should become part of their regular sales rotation. In fact, I wouldn't know this was a store-brand (ALDI) tea if given a blind taste test. The aroma (dry-bag and in-cup) is good and balanced, but somewhat weak. However, the flavor decidedly isn't, with a nice balance between orange and ginger—two natively strong flavors that, if not thoughtfully proportioned in blending, individually could overpower the whole package. Here, the two big flavors fill up the sandbox but share nicely, and don't try to shove each other out of it. That does mean less room for the base tea, which is more apparent in aftertaste than while going down. While it seems to be of decent quality, offering the vegetal element of a good green tea, it definitely takes a backseat to the flavorings. So while there are a couple of minor problems that preclude a higher overall rating, everything about this tea is classified as at least "good" across the board. If it were a regularly offered, standalone tea, I would recommend it with confidence.
