Peppermint Bark doesn't have much bite, but it's still fairly tasty. Overall, the tea fulfills its mission to replicate the flavor of the candy, with a creamy, smooth, almost savory taste, and a reasonably good balance between the mint and chocolate. That's because cocoa shells and carob are used to flavor the tea, in greater proportion than peppermint, which itself still comes through nicely. The bags are standard-size, folded, stringed, and tagged, and wrapped in individual, foil-lined pouches. As such, this is one of the fresher-tasting Great Value teas I've had.

For this tea, Wal-Mart skimps not on quality (for once), but quantity. The flavor is really good, but not very strong, unless one uses a small teacup, or half a medium to large one. So in a big teacup, one must use two bags to get best effect, which somewhat defeats the relatively low price (compared to name brands like Bigelow). At least 25–50% more material easily could fit in each of the bags, without jeopardizing its structural integrity when fully soaked.

Speaking of which, the wet-bag aroma is very nice, pretty much a moist, minty chocolate smell, well worth breathing through. However, the dry-bag smell was strangely alcoholic or antiseptic, enough that I braced myself for a much worse product than this turned out to be. I can't figure out why it had that bathroom-cleaner vibe to the dry aroma, since all-natural ingredients and natural flavoring are used.
