As the other reviewers stated, this tea lacks the bite of Lipton and other commercial teas. And if you want a solid, strong tea that holds up to milk and sugar, this one is hard to beat. This only seems to be available in two places: at the Mccormick Spice Shop in Baltimore's Inner Harbor and online at a Baltimore gourmet shop. Well worth searching out.

I grew up on this tea. It's wonderful, nothing else comes close. We used it for hot tea in the winter and iced tea in the summer. Never bitter. I used to drink 4 - 5 cups of tea a day. Since it has become almost impossible to find, I've given up drinking tea.

McCormick tea never gets bitter like Lipton does, for instance, when you brew it strong so that you can add milk. So if you like strong tea with milk it is the best ever!!
I'm sooo sorry to hear that it was discontinued. I had a lot earlier because I couldn't get it in Colorado and now I'm out totally. It has always been my favorite every-day tea.

I found this tea bag at a church event and tried it out of curiosity. I really wasn't expecting much, given that this tea was discontinued over a year ago and the bags are individually wrapped only in paper, so the particular tea bag that I sampled wasn't terribly fresh, but I will say that I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting it to be almost flavorless, but there was something there.

Compared to Lipton and other mainstream brands, this tea has significantly less bite, but this may be just a function of the tea bag being a bit stale. There's not much bitterness or astringency, but it's actually not that bad. Earthy, and with some depth.

I wish I could have experienced what this tea tasted like fresh.
