Lemon Flavored certainly doesn't skimp on the flavoring, regardless of how much actually comes from lemon peel*. Both the dry bag and in-cup aromas are decidedly lemony, but with a sharper tone than the flavor itself, which isn't tart at all. The lemon flavor is sweet and smooth, more candy-like, and dominates the background tea. It could masquerade as a lemon herbal formula, or as mildly tea-flavored hot lemonade, except for the appearance of a good deal of finely ground black tea in the back and the quickly darkening tea during steeping. With the base tea not very prominent, those trying this will have to like it, or not, based on their personal taste for lemon itself.
* Sometime in the last few years, this tea's packaging labeling appears to have changed from "Lemon Peel" (earlier version, which I saw several years ago at a local cafe, but didn't buy) to "Lemon Flavored" (current, from a motel). Photos of both exist online, of course, and the version I found this year is "Lemon Flavored". I'm not sure if US Foods had to change that due to pre-existing use of lemon flavors other than lemon peel, or if they changed the actual flavoring from lemon peel to something else.
