After reading a plethora of good reviews, I decided to order a few samples from Solstice Tea Traders. Gold Rush was my first test subject. Others have indicated, and I would agree, that this tea is best served hot. When it cools, it loses something both in flavor and aroma.
The aroma is subtle to begin with. It's a subtle passion-fruit scent, with maybe a touch of peach to it. The flavor, however, is where this tea shines. It's a silky smooth black tea which is balanced quite well with a passion-fruit back. The peach flavor doesn't really make an appearance until the aftertaste hits you, but I still can't complain... it's a wonderful, slightly sweet black tea with a flavor that I'm quite fond of.
