Friends and family will testify to my potent propensity for production of organic gas, from which they desperately desire relief. This tea, "Organic Gas Relief", therefore came not only recommended, but insistently so. It's touching that so many people care so much.
According to the box, precisely 300 mg each of five ingredients occupy each bag: peppermint, lemon-balm leaf, chamomile, coriander, and caraway fruit. I've had caraway seeds in rye bread, and have chugged and enjoyed teas with one or two of the other ingredients together, but never all five. The dry-bag and in-cup scents came across mild, generically herbal, without much character. The flavor is much richer, coriander-dominant, slightly minty, hard to tease out the chamomile specifically, somewhat bitter, but overall, tasty and unique—enjoyable enough that I will finish the box. In doing so, I can test better the efficacy of its flatulence-reduction claims...say, after indulging in a hot, greasy burrito, or a meal of broccoli, refried beans, high-yeast bread, root beer, and stewed prunes.
Both bags I've had so far split open a bit when squeezing the wet bag over the cup, as recommended on the box (and as I typically do with any tea). Be ready for that. Otherwise, the wet-bag aroma is stronger than dry, and pleasant to breathe through. Finally, the aftertaste leaves a noticeable sourness at the back of the mouth for several minutes after swallowing; this can be relieved by drinking another sip.
