This tea had a sublime combination of smoothness and depth characteristic of top-quality teas. The flavor was exceptional but the aroma a little weak and less interesting. Thank you to Simpson & Vail for the sample!

My brew had a very dark, deep brown liquor. Good taste with a hint of a smoky after taste. Probably strong enough for milk or sugar for those who indulge. Some lemon might be just the thing.

Another of the old samples my friend Naomi gave to me. The dry leaf of this sample, mostly dark with a few orangish tips, had little aroma left, which made me wonder if it was more stale.

For my tastes, this is an excellent tea. Easy to sip and needs nothing added. Great taste, pleasing color and aroma.
