The dark chocolaty, floral aroma of the dry leaves is honestly the best thing about this tea. I spent a lot of time trying to get it to taste like it smells. I can get close with a lower temperature and the right brewing time, but it's never exact. Most of the time, the taste is slightly fruity and a little less roasty...

This is a very basic Wuyi oolong, with the deep, roasty flavor you'd expect. There's a caramel sweetness and the aroma has a bit of tobacco. This is a weird tea. The dry leaves smell like chocolate and flowers, but as soon as water is added it smells like baked potatoes. It takes a while to brew: I usually end up brewing it for 6-7 minutes the first time and even longer for the next two infusions for a total of three cups.
The flavor is somewhat unusual...
