About Laos
Laos is a landlocked country in southeast Asia. It shares a long border with Vietnam to the east and Thailand to the Southwest, and small borders with Cambodia to the southwest, Burma to the west, and China's Yunnan Province to the north. Most of the country is sparsely populated, and the country is less developed .Most of Laos has a tropical savannah climate; the country's northeast is classified as having a humid subtropical climate, and the eastern part of the country's south as having a tropical monsoon climate. In all regions, however, rainfall is seasonal. Most of the country is covered in lush forests, although deforestation associated with agricultural development is a problem especially along the border with Thailand.
Laos produces some tea, including both in the north and south of the country, but teas from here are rarely available on the Western market.
