The fruit flavoring in this blend really dominates; aroma is mostly of orange. I can't quite discern the cranberry as much...I don't know if there's any spice but there's certainly a suggestion of spice in the aroma. Aroma is not quite as complex as I'd like.
Flavor is slightly sour, more sour than straight rooibos. Little bitterness or astringency.
Pleasant, but unremarkable. The base rooibos is present, but I think it is mostly hidden beneath the flavoring...I would prefer a little less flavoring. I also think I would prefer less sourness and more bitterness...I usually like that in any sort of blend.
Expensive if you buy sachets, but a good price to buy loose by the pound. I would not buy this on my own but I would happily drink it if served it while out somewhere. It was good, just not my cup of tea.
