This was a good, solid Earl Grey, but it failed to wow me the way some of the other Novus teas did.
Aroma is strongly fruity but also somewhat deep and malty. Fruity aroma strongly suggests concord grapes. Good balance of base tea and bergamot flavoring. Less citrusy than some Earl Greys. Very astringent, and very tannic, however. I recommend a brief first infusion, and then making a second steeping from the same tea bag...this tea is flavorful enough that you can definitely steep it twice.
Good, but not my favorite Earl Grey even from a tea bag, and I think lagging a bit behind Novus' other offerings. I would prefer any number of the pure teas from Novus to this one.
