For the most part, I like this tea, but there is a caramel-like quality to the aroma that I find objectionable. It's not clear what ingredient imparts this quality. Besides that, I think the tea is pretty good.
The base is a standard, full-bodied Ceylon of good quality, and in this blend, the base tea is pretty solid and recognizable. There is a noticeable aroma of cranberry, especially in the finish. There is also a fair amount of herbaceous qualities...I can detect the raspberry leaf--it's an herb that I find blends very well with black tea, and that I also like on its own. It reminds me of summer, especially late summer. This tea, however, reminds me more of fall.
Pleasing. Among my favorite of Adagio's teas yet, but still, I do not like the caramely quality and I would not order this one on my own--I strongly prefer Adagio's pure teas.
