Quite good! Rich and warming, yet zesty and fresh.
I tend to not like most fermented Pu-erh, and I am especially not fond of Pu-erh blends, but the only other blend including fermented Pu-erh that I like is produced by Rishi (their Vanilla mint Pu-erh), so I thought I'd give this one a chance too. And I liked it!
The dominant quality here is ginger, but it's not overwhelming. The ginger is very aromatic, but the peppery / hot quality of the ginger is only moderate. The base Pu-erh is earthy and rich. This produces a very dark infusion that is full-bodied, and I think much more interesting than most pure ripened (shou) Pu-erh. The orange zest is almost undetectable--and is more of the quality of dried orange peel, less of the candied orange or fruity quality that some orange-flavored teas have. I find the orange blends seamlessly with the Pu-erh and ginger.
A bit pricey, for a blend of this type, especially when compared to Rishi's pure teas in a similar price range, but extremely well-executed. Rishi has not disappointed me with a single one of their flavored teas, and from someone who tends to favor pure teas, that leaves me feeling very solidly impressed.
