This was among the highest-quality of the commercial pure peppermint herbal teas that I've sampled, from a tea company. Quality-wise, it is about on par with Two Leaves and a Bud's, but the price point is markedly lower. It still pales in comparison with the stuff I've grown in my own garden.
Aroma is strongly pepperminty, fresh, and also with some depth and complexity: leafy and herbaceous tones emerge too, and a hint of creaminess. Flavor is relatively smooth. This particular offering was less astringent than most, which is great, but it was also a little on the sour side. There's no much bitterness.
I thought this was a very good sample of peppermint. It was also a bit stronger than usual--I found I was able to brew a stronger cup relative to the amount of leaf.
Still, I think it is a bit silly to buy peppermint at all, if you live in a part of the world (most of the U.S. and most of Europe) where the plant grows well.
