This tea is beautiful! Both smoky and fruity (in the best sense of this term). This is one of the teas that woke me up to the possibilities of leaves, hot water, and quiet. I hope it will always be available.

I'd be curious to try Teavana's Dancong. I'm deterred from trying more Teavana teas by their minimum 2 ounce purchase size, and the fact that the employees have frequently measured out much more than I ask for, when all I really want to do is try as many of their teas as possible so I can review them!
The Dancongs that I've had from different tea companies have been vastly different. Some have been intensely fruity (Adagio's Dancong Aria the most so) but others have been more herbaceous or smoky, and without much fruitiness.
I've tried five, including an aged offering. Besides the aged one (which I did not care for), I liked all of them, but my favorite was the Mt. Wu Dong Mi Lan (Honey Orchid) Dan Cong from Life in Teacup.

Teavanna is certainty an odd business. I went there early in my tea journey, and so there are a few teas I remember fondly. I completely agree that their two ounce policy is counterproductive. The teas they sell, while of good quality, are often overpriced, and their zombified sales staff make it impossible to be anything like a regular customer.
