Dilmah has a great line of Ceylon/Sri Lanka teas that really let you taste the different growing conditions available on this small island nation. They have single region teas (like this low grown Yata Watte) and single estate teas (like Dombagastalawa Single Estate) that really open your eyes to the variety of flavors and colors available.
The Yata Watte is low grown, heavy in character (like a good English Breakfast Tea), robust and deep in color. There is a very subtle but wonderful natural spiciness to the leaf that makes for a unique aroma and flavor. It goes very well with food, and has become my default tea to carry with me when I travel.
