I have only one other Green Tea with Jasmine to compare this to, and that one is a teabag presentation by Numi. As far as flavor goes, Primula's Fairy Lily has a very different character. While Numi smacks you in the face with outstandingly fresh jasmine perfumes, this one has a soft, gentle, floral, potpourri fragrance that I can't put my finger on, but it reminds me something of the old-fashioned rose water smell of my grandmother's linen closet with notes of warm apple pie, banana bread, caramels, ripe summer fruits, and a whisper of cinnamon.
Flavors can vary depending on water, length of brew time, temperature, etc., but I found mine to be warming and sweet. The first brew was rather weak and thin, so I would give it at least 6 to 7 minutes to fully unfurl and release its flavor. The second infusion yielded a deeper caramel color and aroma. A splash of cream and raw sugar added more body.
There was no astringency to speak of and even my children enjoyed this brew very much. It went over exceptionally well paired up with hot, buttered cornbread fresh out of the oven.
I received this flowering tea as part of a teapot gift set. My whole family is enchanted with the flowering tea experience, the presentation is delightful, and we are all learning a lot about tea.

As an update, after having another pot of Primula's flowering teas recently, it occurred to me that one flowering tea is not enough for a 40 oz sized teapot because they are rather weak. I believe I will try three flowering teas in one full pot next time and see how it tastes. Stay tuned.
